A WOMAN has revealed her incredible cleaning hack for getting her oven looking sparkling new using a handful of tumble dryer sheets.
UK-based Michelle Tamplin shared her house tip on Facebook and many people have raved about their own results after copying the idea.
She explained how her husband had thought she was bonkers when she took her oven shelves out and put them in her bath.
Writing on the Facebook group Hinch Army Cleaning Tips, Michelle wrote: “I thought I would try this last night after a few glasses of wine. My husband was wondering why I was emptying our oven and taking them to the bath. Thought I had gone mad.
“I then proceeded to throw a couple of tumble dryer sheets in with some warm water. Off to bed I go…….”
Michelle joked that she probably should have told her family about her cleaning hack before plonking the shelves in the bath as her eldest son got a shock when he came home from work.
She said: “Well this morning I have been called all sorts of names but no sh*ts given as I have nice clean wire racks after giving them a little scrub to get the last bits off.”
The handy hack has been found to be effective for some people, due to the fabric softening chemicals helping to “soften” old dry food on the shelves.
Meanwhile, in another Mrs Hinch-inspired cleaning group, Mrs Hinch Made Me Do It, one person said the hack had also worked for them, but they added washing up liquid.
They wrote: “OMG!!! Had to share. Tried out a proper bonafide hack today. Best hack I have come across.
“My oven was in desperate need of a clean, and I HATE cleaning the racks & using smelly chemicals that are strong enough to get them gleaming clean.”
Meanwhile, a mum shared her ‘genius’ £2.50 cleaning hack for getting greasy oven doors sparkling in minutes.
For more incredible cleaning hacks, this mum-of-three has revealed how she got her microwave sparkling using a slice of lemon.
And this mum used a £1.60 two-ingredient trick to clean her filthy oven – and the results are amazing.
